Hermes Portal is consistently high quality (admission: I am a writer and
illustrator), but really it would depend on what kind of articles or issues
you were looking at.

Each issue deals with different things. All of the articles for issues 1-12
deal with ArM4, although I imagine that issue 14 will have ArM5 material.

Some articles that I have found useful or interesting:

Heretic's Corner - Michael de Verteuil (HP2)
Merinita Mysteries - David Chart (HP4)
Why Don't Bjornaer Bind Familiars - Timothy Ferguson (HP3)
The Miraculous World - Jeremiah Genest and Adam Bank (HP6)
Hermetic Law - David Woods (HP7)
The Realm of Magic - JG and AB (HP8)
Three Faerie Herbs - Mark Shirley (HP10)

I think you will find at least three or four articles of interest or use in
each HP (although the rules articles have less utility, there are still
great ideas in them).

I've never used paypal, but since it is all electronic, I would imagine that
there would be a few day's turn around at the most (depending on Eric's
business with real life).

> PS: Also what was the 'Swimsuit Calendar' that recently was released?

It was a spoof Hermetic pinup calendar, described to me as "the kind of
woodcut calendar that young apprentices would hide under their bed so their
parens wouldn't find it."

However, it is filled with really useful story hooks, and a lot of work went
into the research for specific medieval holidays, saint's days and other
significant festivals, like the Saturnalia.
