This make sense in a magical theory sense too if you look at it from the
point of view that any non-personal spell you cast has to be able to pass
out through your parma*, then it makes sense it could also pass back in. If
you wanted it to be resistable by your own parma you would then have to beat
your own parma just to succesfully cast it.

*= some of the examples state the resisted thing parts just in front of the
maga, so it is not ureasonable IMHO to assume it is kind of like a bubble,
and so your spells havr to synchronise with it to pass through.
