Why not? It's not a trivial spell to control a human body, and it's got a
mythic quality to it: you have put some of your magic on the grog, so you
are more vulnerable to your grog.
Besides, you've moved the goalposts. The scenario now seems to involve two
magi fighting, rather than a magi fighting a grog or grogs with swords. If
I'm fighting with a ReCo magus, I should be particularly wary of my grogs
being used against me, since their swords are sharper than their heads.
Wouldn't it be smarter to make them attack me with their weapons instead?

Well, or at least be wary to not cast spells flippantly. Very little magic
is permanent in Fifth Edition, and this might be one reason why.
However, another solution might be that after the sun passes and the Parma
is dropped and cast again, my spells that are still continuing are no longer
immune to my Parma. This means that changing a sword blue for a Moon or Year
might be a useful long-term defense, though it wouldn't have immediate
effects.

Hardly that! How much damage does a body do? I think to be beaten to death
by a grog, you'd need at least a few rounds of combat.
And this doesn't address the original problem: if magic didn't work like
this, couldn't you cast a quick spell to make your grog purple and be immune
to his fists?

I've reconsidered this. I think effects cast by items would pass through the
Parma of the person who activated them, not the person who designed the
item. Besides, that seems like too much bookkeeping otherwise. "Did I make
that sword, or did you?" :)

Do you prefer that the air can be made to smell like roses and thus is
resisted by the Parma?
When two magi are fighting, it seems appropriate to me that any magic I use
can also be used against me. Don't summon a wild boar to attack an Animal
specialist!
