You are a follower of Bonisagus, and a member of Domus Doctrinae. You are 125 years old, and you are mainly interested in magical theory. Domus Doctrinae, however, is full of theoreticians, and so you draw straws to see who gets the chore of representing the covenant at Tribunal. This time, you were the unlucky one. You have eight votes.

Domus Doctrinae is located in a cave in the Peak District, and is a Summer covenant: old enough to be stable, but still young enough to be growing. It is devoted to the study of problems in magical theory, and to pushing back the limits of Hermetic knowledge. The covenant library is superb, and easily the best feature. You are always looking for ways to improve it, for example by trading spells or books with members of other covenants. Of course, you try to ensure that you always get the best of the deal, trading common spells for rare ones, but on the other hand, you don't want to annoy other magi to the extent that they refuse to trade with you any more.

You are also interested in any rumours of a magical breakthrough, that you might be interested in following up. Apart from that, your main aim at the tribunal is to ensure that no motions are passed which actively hurt your covenant. Beneficial ones, such as a motion encouraging the free exchange of magical ideas, should also be encouraged. However, your covenant does not really have any interests beyond its walls, and your job is largely that of caretaker, making sure that nothing goes wrong.

Your covenant recently received a letter from one Matthew, follower of Jerbiton, a member of a new covenant in Yorkshire. He expressed an interest in sharing magical knowledge, so you would be interested in following that up.

The biggest problem, as far as Domus is concerned, is the failing of magic in the Tribunal. Magical auras are becoming weaker, and vis sources are drying up. You do not know what is causing this, nor do you have any idea as to how to stop or reverse it. Any information that other covenants can provide on the subject would be most welcome.
